Women’s Ministry.

Meets: Monthly and weekly (see below)

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30)—but not according to our culture. Biblical womanhood doesn’t cut it; women are told they must find fulfillment elsewhere. A truly-fulfilled life for the modern woman is only found in a career, or in worldly success, or in life accomplishments. Yet many women are finding these promises to be a mirage, leaving them still desperately unfulfilled.

In reality, for all people, true fulfillment is found only in Christ. The ultimate satisfaction in life doesn’t come from career or possessions or wealth or even family, but Christ alone. This message is for all, but it seems to resonate with many women today. There is no substitute for simple devotion to Christ. As the apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:3, “But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” This message is at the forefront of our Women’s Ministry. Women must find their ultimate identity not in family or in career, but in Christ.

The main channel of the Women’s Ministry at Berean is our Growth Groups. This is the primary place where women to connect with other women over times of Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and accountability. Growth Groups are the place where women will find Titus 2:3-5 in action.

However, the Women’s Ministry also has regular events such as ladies’ teas, Christian book club meetings, and special luncheons.
